The Lexington Avenue Arts and Fun Festival was created in 2001 for the “purpose of celebrating the culture and the renaissance of Lexington Avenue.” This year’s festival was expanded to Rankin Avenue, the festival featured local Brews, local food, art and other Asheville-esque affairs.

2011 marked the tenth anniversary of the Lexington Avenue Arts and Fun Festival. Three blocks of downtown Asheville were devoted to a variety of street performers, food and drink vendors, crafts and activities for all ages. Among the performers at the three stages were 23 Skidoo, Unifire Theater, Paper Tiger and Stephanie’s Id.
