Moogfest 2011, the electronic music festival, was held in downtown Asheville from Oct 28th-30th 2011. Big crowds, great costumes, famous musicians, partying, hipsters, DJs, archival footage of Bob Moog, hands on time with Moog instruments- all those things were on full display during the weekend. Three blocks of downtown Asheville were devoted to a variety of street performers, food and drink vendors, crafts and activities for all ages. Among the performers at the three stages were 23 Skidoo, Unifire Theater, Paper Tiger and Stephanie’s Id.
