2011 marked the tenth anniversary of the Lexington Avenue Arts and Fun Festival. Three blocks of downtown Asheville were devoted to a variety of street performers, food and drink vendors, crafts and activities for all ages. Among the performers at the three stages were 23 Skidoo, Unifire Theater, Paper Tiger and Stephanie’s Id.

Downtown After 5, Asheville’s monthly street music festival continued July 15. This Friday featured the fusion jazz of the Jonathan Scales Fourchestra and guitarist Aaron Wood’s rock & roll band, with singer Kellin Watson. Despite the cloudy day, the crowd gathered to fill the street over the course of the evening.
