Moogfest 2011, the electronic music festival, was held in downtown Asheville from Oct 28th-30th 2011. Big crowds, great costumes, famous musicians, partying, hipsters, DJs, archival footage of Bob Moog, hands on time with Moog instruments- all those things were on full display during the weekend. Ami Worthen and Krekel, AKA The Mad Tea Party played an enjoyable set of music in a West Asheville favorite intimate setting, the Hop West. Helped by Ami’s sister, Jennifer, on a couple of songs, the duo ran down original songs, covers and old timey string songs to the enjoyment of all present.

The third-annual Come-Together Benefit for Helpmate was a great success, raising several thousand dollars for Ashevile/Buncombe County’s primary resource for victims of domestic violence.
