Third Annual Food Truck Showdown

The Asheville Masonic Temple hosted the Third Annual Food Truck Showdown on April 2 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The event featured almost 15 food trucks as well as music, a V.I.P. section and puppies from the Humane Society. Attendees could pay for the chance to vote for their favorite food truck.

“We’re raising money for four different charities today and giving these food trucks the opportunity to compete for best food truck,” said staff member Kelan Ross. “They have two different prizes they have the opportunity to win, one is judge’s favorite and the other is fan favorite.”

The event’s proceeds are going to the Asheville Humane Society, the Masonic Children’s Home, The Historic Masonic Temple and Whitestone Retirement Community.

The event was hosted by Shay Brown Events and patrons were encouraged to use the hashtag #foodtruckshowdownavl.
