Bob Moog Foundation at The Hop

In a continuing series of benefit events supporting local non-profit organizations, The Hop Ice Cream Cafe on Merrimon Avenue played host to The Bob Moog Memorial Foundation .

The Foundation was launched in 2006 to honor the legacy of Bob Moog and, among other programs, regularly works with children to teach them science through music. Big and little kids were inspired and guided through testing out theremins and synthesizers by Brittany Wager from the Bob Moog Foundation and volunteer Steve Wager. The looks of concentration, wonder and joy on people’s faces as they played theremin were great!

The Hop event raised about $300.00 in ice cream sales and donations, all going to benefit the Foundation.
